Only Merino Wool Will Do Dec 25, 2008
By D. Dell

Many people stay away from wool because it can be rough and bulky. Merino wool is entirely different. This type of wool is very soft to the touch. These socks are warmer than cotton without adding extra bulk. And they are breathable so you can also wear them in the summer. Another advantage is that they last much longer than cotton socks. For those reviewers that complained about pilling, simply follow the washing instructions and turn them inside out before washing. Merino wool socks also tend to shrink. To help lessen shrinkage, dry on very low heat or simply lay them out to dry on a towel.
You should give these socks a try because of the following:
1. Soft and comfortable.
2. Can be worn year round.
3. Long lasting and therefore cost affective compared to cotton.

Already wearing thin Mar 16, 2009
By VFO I wear wool socks on a daily basis for work, with liners and steel-toed boots. The last socks I had lasted for 5-6 years, worn every other week, before finally wearing holes in the heels. I've worn these (4 pairs) 3 times each, and they're already starting to wear on the heels. No holes yet, but lots of pilling, leading me to think that they are wearing much more quickly than my old socks. Might be better for the occasional hiker than for daily wear.

Awesome socks!! Feb 15, 2007
By Anonymous I had been searching for socks I could wear with my jeans and replace the old athletic socks I was always wearing. These are the most comfortable socks I've ever owned! It's like wearing slippers! I think these socks are spoiling me to the point where all socks will now be compared against these. I'm afraid I'm becoming a sock connoisseur!

Great socks Oct 03, 2007
By Brian R. Wigwam has been making good products for some time and over the years I have come to rely on their quality construction. I ware these socks year round, weather hiking or at work they give me great cushion and keep my feet cool in summer and warm in winter.
The only nit I can pick, is that they tend to Pill quickly. This is not enough however to keep me from buying more when these are worn out...in a couple of years.

Low Wool Content Dec 25, 2009
By Michael Tatom I bought a three-pack of these and when I read the label on the package , the amount of actual wool was less than 20%! Very misleading item description--whatever.
