Contrary to the other reviewer, I ordered medium and they were a near perfect fit for my 8-1/2 size hands. My long slender fingers did not create any pockets of space in the finger valleys. There is some pocket space between my thumb and forefinger.
The fit was snug, and that is what you want if you are wearing gloves for instrument playing, or otherwise handling objects. Too much extra length on the finger tips is neither good looking, nor professional.
I love the whiteness and the very pronounced "dart" lines on the backs. I personally bought them for my Santa suit and they truly compliment the look for a decent price.
With proper care and washing I imagine they will last a good while. Otherwise, consider them "throw aways" once they become too beat up.
Addendum: My new order arrived today, 10/25/10 mon. I now concede that they do run small. The medium just fit and became more difficult to wear after shrinking in the wash. The large are a much better fit. Still fabulous looking snap gloves.

The quality of these gloves is great, but I suggest that one purchases a pair that is one to two sizes bigger if one wants them to fit.

Gloves were exactly what I had imagined! They were prefect for my dance performance and my halloween costume. They fit me just fine and they even come with a clip on the cuffs that make it a better fit.

Needed washable, economical cotton gloves to wear with hand cream to fight the ravages of dry and cracking skin. Since my husband and I started using these gloves (with ointment) occasionally we have not been bothered by painful skin cracking. These gloves are just what we needed! Don't have to wear them everynight, or even all night. Just for a while! They do the job!

The gloves were purchased to go with an Uncle Sam costume for Halloween - my hands are far from X-Large but I wanted to make sure there was room in them. Size was a slight bit bigger than my hands (a standard medium glove size). I slipped the glove on before the event only to watch the seam down the outter edge give way on both gloves. The entire side of both gloves just feel open. I was angry to say the least. Ended up going to a dollar store to get a better pair for the event. I will probably hand sew them and donate them to s kids group to use later.
Would not recommend this product, very cheap, sizing is way off.
