By avro arrow I recently purchased this item. It took longer than expected regarding the shipping timeline, and the cost of shipping seemed 'pricey'.
I received the item in a plastic clear bag, removed it and had to take the tag off to fully button the coat. The fit was a little large considering the measurements provided via the fitting chart. For anyone with a 40 inch chest, go with the small, not the medium. The invoice was covering the 'stop' notification that informed you not to remove the tag, if you wished to send the item back, so that option was gone. The quality was poor. Item is made in China, the last buttonhole had been torn as the stitching around it had been done improperly. The buttons themselves should have been attached with stronger gauge thread. The weight of the cotton should have been heavier, as you'd expect in a govt issue military spec clothing article. I had to pay a tailor to do alterations and repairs which cost me half of what I paid for the jacket. I can't say I'm overly thrilled with the purchase...more in the disappointed camp. I'd rate it a 2 1/2 star item considering the extra cost involved with repairs and alteration and the delivery cost. ROTHCO is in serious need of some QC in China. Captain Dave's needs to place their warning sheet on top of their enclosed documents.
