4Competent product  Aug 20, 2010
I've had this product for couple years, mainly use on the airplanes during frequent traveling. I like this for it's compact and lightweight design, with enough battery life to last 2 trans Pacific round trips. The noise cancelling quality could be better but overall this product does its job competently, considering it's only less than 1/2 the cost of BOSE NCs.

3Great, except that ...  Aug 02, 2010
after seven months, using them in the gym, they developed an intermittent connection in the cord, about where it goes into the part that holds the battery, and so now they have a large pop every couple of minutes, or the left channel dies, so, ultimately, while they were very good for the money when I bought them, the did not last, and I have to figure out how to get them replaced.

2Good noise cancelling but - electric shocks!!  Jul 14, 2010
OK these provided excellent noise cancelling and the batteries haven't died yet after more than 41 hours of travel.

The headphones get quite uncomfortable after about four hours of use - they start to squeeze the edges of the ears and get quite hot too. I'd rather get a larger pair for flying, in retrospect.

But the worst issue I've had, which I've never anticipated, is electric shocks in one ear every few hours! They come without warning and are completely sporadic. I've sent the headphones back to Sennheiser so I hope this gets sorted - they claim not to have heard of the issue before. But if the problem isn't fixed, it will completely put me off the brand. Not a problem you expect or want - it's a horrible sensation!

5Great headphones! Comparable to Bose  Jun 21, 2010
I bought these headphones to block out the noise when riding the train to work and to also block out all the noise and chatter at work. Not only do they block out most noise, the clarity and amazing audio reproduction of these headphones make them sound like they are worth 500 dollars. I love them!! The bass response is tight, the highs and mids are well balanced, and overall they reproduce the music I listen to beautifully. There have been a few songs on my playlist on my Ipod, that I have never heard quite as clearly as I have heard them in the past. I can hear subtle little background instruments in live recordings that I have never heard before....just amazing sound reproduction, while at the same time I am in my own private oasis at work, not having to listen to others talk while I am trying to do my job.

These headphones are well worth the money and at a fraction of the cost that the Bose type headphones cost. The only small drawback is having the battery chamber being located within the cord set up. Kind of strange, but at the same time it does take the weight off the headphones, making them easy to wear for several hours at a time without my ears getting sore.

As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with these fine headphones, and I'm very happy that I bought them.

4Just what I wanted!  Jun 02, 2010
This revview may be a little premature, but so far I am pleased with my Sennheiser PXC 250 ANC headphones. They are refurbished and cost me $55, so that was good. I wanted headphones for travel that sounded good and were not to big. I looked at the Dr. Dres , sound excellent, but too expensive and the cheaper version broke at the store. The Bose over the ear where my standard...hard to beat, but again, price was a concern. The PXC are just right for me. I tried them on and the fit is comfy...the sound is good to excellent but as another user says, the noise canceling feature makes a big differnce. I'm going on a 5 hour plane trip and will let you know how these played out. I think I will be pleased. Very satisfied at this point.
