Excellent sound quality, durability for the price Aug 31, 2010 I bought these headphones about 5 or 6 years ago and they're still going strong.
The two best things about them:
-Great sound quality (especially bass): only the most picky audiophile could complain.
-Durability: they've been on many vacations and car/bus/train rides, and have endured every possible form of abuse. The cords have been bent and yanked many, many times and have yet to short out on me. The folding joints (both ball and hinge) are still in great shape, and the adjustable band still stays firmly in place. The only sign of wear is that the ear padding has worn a little thin.
These headphones are definitely worth what you pay for them, and then some. They can handle a lot of abuse, so unless you severely mistreat them you're set for many years to come.
Clever design, good sound, no privacy Jul 20, 2010 I hate to criticize these headphones because they're ingeniously designed to fold up and slip in the hard shell case, and the sound is very good. But people near you can hear what you're listening to (even at normal sound levels), and ambient noise filters in easily. If you're planning to be in a quiet place alone when you use it, buy it.
Excellent Price to Performance Jul 12, 2010 I have owned the PX100s for about 3 months now and am wearing them off and on all day at work, every day. While they lose to my Sennheiser HD650s on every other point their sound quality for this price range is *fantastic*! If you like relatively bass-heavy music and don't want to be bothered with a headphone amp then these should be about right. I had never heard this much bass response in un-amped, inexpensive, headphones before without noticeable distortion. The carrying case with these is very well thought out and convenient. I will say that I can only wear them for an hour or two at a time before ear fatigue starts kicking in. A handful of my friends also own these phones and claim that they can wear them all day... My ears stick out from my head more than most though.
Pros: Sound quality (especially bass), easily driven by an iPhone (no amp required), plug is extremely narrow for fitting through odd PMP cases.
Cons: Supra-Aural (they sit directly against your ears), appear moderately fragile, look kind of cheap, flimsy cable
Broke too easily Jun 08, 2010 These sounded fine and were reasonably comfortable. But the connector to my computer broke after only a few months of use and was not fixable so it was money thrown out.
good sound quality, but wire easily broken Jun 04, 2010 It is a nice earphone.. superb sound quality, nice look... But the wire was broken after one year. It was not heavily used. Most of the time I use it at home/work. Such a pity.. everything is still perfectly fine except the wire near the jack:(((
