I've gone through maybe 3 or 4 messenger bags before this one (GAP, JanSport, etc), but this one is by far the best one for it's price. The simplicity of the bag makes it quite stylish, and it's very good for everyday casual use. Khaki basically goes good with anything that you wear btw.
The strap is definitely wide enough so that your shoulders don't hurt. At first I thought the velcro wasn't a very good idea since all the other ones I've gone through were the duel buckle types, but this actually works really nice. I find it easier to just pat down the flap instead of clipping the buckles every time I use it.
I'm not a specialist when it comes to material, but the overall quality of the bag seems very nice, so I'm assuming this'll last me for a while. After all this bag was originally made for the army. I take this bag almost everywhere carrying notebooks, snacks, a plastic water bottle (the holder is perfect), and some other stuff. Very roomy. To me it's a must have when going to the beach because I can keep my phone, wallet, and keys in the small pouch inside that has a zipper on it so that the sand doesn't get in there. So for the money that I've paid for this messenger bag, I love it.

There's plenty of room in here for a 15.4-inch MacBook Pro in a sleeve bag and an armload of books. The smaller pockets have lots of room for AC adapter, camera, notebook, cables, etc. The flap seems a little flimsy - could be improved with a heavier grade of canvas or some kind of backing. Overall, a good bag, worth the money.

I love the look of a messenger bag. I use it when i travel to carry books, mp3, water, snacks and boarding passes. This bag is canvas and will wear and wash well. This bag is constructed good, it has a velcro closure. I just wish it had a padded shoulder strap, because i always take too much, but the strap is wide to offset some of the weight.

I love the bag. It's great! Wonderful sturdy canvas material; good size for carrying a few notebooks; great shoulder strap: adjustable. Overall a great product. Definitely recommend it for any college/high school student.

Overall a good durable, comfortable, light canvas messenger bag. The only problem is that I with it had more smaller compartments and pockets; I use it as my school bag but I don't really have anywhere to put my writing utensils because they have potential of falling out. But still its a awesome bag!
