LED Music stand light Oct 28, 2006
By J. Ponte This unit covers an entire page of music with a bright, even light. I believe that two units would be required for a two page music score. I intend to purchase a second unit for that purpose.

Dim idea Sep 01, 2006
By Bink Williams This little light is overintroduced. It might do in a pinch, but it puts out very little light and the color of the light is not pleasing. Too cool and blue for my taste. I have it on my violin music stand as a secondary and it is not very useful. Defintely not what I was led to expect from the product.

Moonlight Jan 03, 2006
By Mattress Mack CON: This is a great lamp for reading a miniature book in a coffin. The light barely illuminates half a page and quickly attenuates from the top of a page to the bottom. This lamp is ideal for a 1-page book the size of a cigarette box. Next to my 7-inch, 13W fluorescent lamp, MightyBright is incandescent and mighty dim.
PRO: On the upside, it is very well-designed, light, and portable. It is ideal for bed-reading because there isn't enough light to reach your bedmate's side of the bed. It could be handy for other applications such as illuminating nooks and crannies.

Unbelievable! Honestly, it really is excellent! Sep 07, 2005
By Gottlob Frege This is an outstanding book reading light. I use a book light to read every night so I don't wake the spouse up. I had the old Mighty Bright. It took 4 AA batteries and had a normal light bulb. The batteries did not last long and I had to replace the bulb every six months. This new version uses LEDs which are MUCH brighter than normal bulbs. LED bulbs also use less energy so the new Might Bright only takes three AAA batteries and they seem to last forever. LEDs take forever to burn out. If you read and hour a night, every night, it will take 270 years to burn out a well made LED. Unless you drop or otherwise physically damage the bulbs, you won't have to replace them...EVER! The rest of the product is also redesigned. The whole arm telescopes back into the clip. Even the sides of the lamp head, where you grab to extend the arm, have rubber pads for grip. This really is an excellent product. I can't design improving much anytime soon.

Wonderful reading light Jun 16, 2008
By Gary Hellmann My wife bought this light and the Mighty Bright Xtra Flex Duet a couple of months ago. She found the 2 light flex light much more effective for her music stand and gave me this one to use as a reading light. It works for me as a book light much better than my previous book lights, as it spreads the light much more evenly than any of the other, smaller book lights did. For typical sized books this light covers both pages pretty well with minimal adjustments. It is a bit large for a small paperback, but it's overall the best book light I've used to date. It use 3 AAA batteries, and I use NiMH rechargables - they last me a surprisingly long time. Overall highly recommended as a book light.
