Great design Dec 28, 2010
By D. Curtis For the price, I love this tuner. To be up front, I AM a beginning guitarist at age 51 so I don't have experience with many tuners. No doubt there are better ones. However, I use mine strictly at home (6 months now) for practice and find it very convenient to plug it directly into the guitar's jack with no cable involved. Sure, it is plasticky and perhaps it is fragile, but if I needed a tuner to travel with & knew it would receive more wear & tear than home use, I would spend more $$$. For the way I use it, it is perfect.

Great product! Apr 13, 2010

The first little tuner that has survived in my pocket. Very nice. For guitar and bass. Still on my original batteries.
Good, reliable low-priced tuner Sep 09, 2010
By John M. Lengyel I run this tuner on the out port of my junction box, and it stays perpetually on, and that way I can continuously check my tuning as I play. The display is easy to see from the floor if I stand or sit to play.
Drawbacks? The auto shut-off is a two edged sword: it's good that it wishes to conserve its battery, but if I stop playing for more than a couple minutes, it blinks out and I have to flip the switch twice to restart it, which is an awkward problem because it sits on the floor. Also, my weapon of choice these days is a 5-string bass with the low B dropped to an A - which doesn't register.
That aside, no serious complaints. The LED light is a nice touch for finding jacks on a dark stage.
