I ordered two of these caps to replace the several I bought while in the service. The issue caps I had served me well during my four year tour of duty in Alaska. These caps are the same excellent quality as the issue caps I remembered without the smell of moth balls. Recently used one while snowblowing my driveway after a 19 inch New England snow fall. Absolutely loved it! A little snug when new but after a little wearing they stretch to just the right size to keep your balding pate toasty.

My friend wanted a 100% wool watch cap. The cap is very nice and warm, but it seems pretty small for an average male head (it's a one-size-fits-all). My friend decided to keep it anyway, and it seems to be slowly stretching out.

The un-stretched hat is about 5" in diameter. You can stretch it to fit an adult but it is then far too tight to insulate properly (air pockets flatten) and, in my case, a headache will soon ensue.

This keeps your ears warm very well where it is overlapped. The top of the head however is not overlapped and lets breeze in, Therefore I cannot recommend this hat at this time. If this was thicker it would be a decent hat. (but it isn't)

At last a wool watch cap big enough to fit my XXL head!
Nice nubby black texture. Stuff a couple of these in your coat pockets and stop the hawk.
I'm getting some more.
Made in USA and Mil-Spec...
