professional drummer. i have used etymotics for years. Sep 09, 2010
i have recently tried several other types of inexpensive in the ear monitors when my ER6's finally went out. ( heavy use for years ). i tried the skull candy and the klipshe (sp?). they wouldnt hold the tight fit for long. as a drummer, i am moving my head around alot. the right ear would always become loose. i have tried all of the different fittings. the etymotics do not ever come loose. it must the triple flange ear tip. the only thing i hear while playing the drums is what is coming through the mics and then into the earphones. in other words, they seal really well.

I have not gotten the item yet. I am writing this review because of Amazon's god awful shipping policies. Why would I order an item that was said to be IN STOCK on Sep 3rd, only to have it not ship until a week later? I'm cancelling my order and I'm done with Amazon. I have always had better experiences with third party sellers on this website, and that is what I will do

It took me about two weeks to figure out how to actually put them in completely, but once I did I understood why they come with a warning about not using them for jogging/bicycling/motorbiking/driving car.

I use them for motorbiking, but they turn the volume of the world down so much, I can have the volume on my mp3 player at only 25% and hear everything clearly.

Some will say the bass is a bit weak, but I think more to the point it's an accurate representation. Anyways, use your equalizer if you want more bass, and they'll deliver.

Some of the best money I've ever spent, for sure.

I'm just ordering my second pair of these as my others disapeared off the kitchen counter (hopefully they show up one day). I loved these headphones, I couldn't hear someone talking to me with music going at even a low volume. I replaced them with some Senheizers that sound just as good but it is more difficult to get them to stay in my ear than it was with the Etymotics. I can't wait till the new ones get here.
