You'll never put this bag through the ringer like I have, trust me. Apr 25, 2011
By J. Kaufman I purchased this bag so that I could make an exercise sandbag. After nearly a year of repeated dragging, dropping, slamming, and throwing (containing 150 pounds of sand) it's still usable. Granted, all of the handles were torn off very early on, but the main "shell" of the bag has held up very well considering the abuse it's taken. This is an EXCELLENT bag.

Used for Oxygen Tank Feb 17, 2011
By Jonnie Von Hellens
"Jonnie"
I purchased this bag to fasten my Oxygen 'E' Tank to my power wheelchair. It seems hard to find a holder for a power chair that is reasonably priced and works for a power chair as most seem to be for manual chairs. If I strapped the tank straight on my chair, then since the frame is set more inward than the seat, it would slide out of whatever I strapped around it, and fall off with a loud clank; I needed a bag to keep it from sliding out of the strap. It is probably double the width I need and later I will sew it in half, using one half for the tank and maybe the other half for things like my Reacher and umbrella.
The bag seems constructed well enough, it is heavy duty canvas, with one handle and a single strap that has metal hardware which attaches to a metal loop that goes through one of the eyelets. There is no padding on the strap, or bag, which is fine for my needs. I needed a bag where the center of gravity would be low, since I wanted to put it low on my wheelchair, however I imagine if one were standing with it on your shoulder, this means that the length of the bag would hang down low on a person. as the strap is 21" not including hardware, it would loop over your shoulder and hang beneath your armpit.
It would be perfect to haul laundry to the Laundromat, or if someone wanted to soft items into it for some reason like a sleeping bag and pillow, I say that because due to the size, it could get quite heavy if not careful.

Solid construction Sep 08, 2011
By RMG This bag is what you would expect from a typical military duffel bag. It will last forever and will not win any beauty contests. I used mine to travel to Europe and the bag still looks as good as the day I bought it.

Nice product. Dec 29, 2010
By footloosedreamer It's durable and rugged, definitely. The metal clips seem very strong to me, but as other reviews have said, there is no padding anywhere on the bag. The handle is made of canvas strip that has been folded over in the center of the handle to better fit the contour of the hand, and for comfort. The top clips in nicely with a carabiner-esque design. This one is particularly large. I can fit a whole wardrobe of clothing (14 shirts, 4 pants, three pair shoes, 7 pair socks, 7 pair boxers, and a coat) no problem. It's actually quite large, but not overwhelmingly large.
The only thing that I didn't really like about it is the shoulder strap. I'm a small guy (5'5") and the bag, when slung over my shoulder, feels awkward hanging so low against the backs of my legs. However, I plan on using it to transport my stuff back and forth between home and college so it's a great space saver for me. It's simple with it's top load design, and there's also a nice flap that no one has mentioned. It's a flap of canvas that covers the whole opening and rests on top of the pile before you close the bag up.
Other than that though, it is a nice bag to have for loading your stuff up for hunting, for road trips... service is fast and efficient too.
CHEAP INDIAN MADE JUNK Jan 31, 2012
By N Fenwick If you are looking for a GI style duffel bag that will actually see and survive hard use, look elsewhere. This thing is garbage. While the cotton material is acceptable, the all-important stitching is weak and done with poor cotton thread. Buy USA and get NYLON.
